Yeah you need an index page before you can do anything. Throw an index.html page in your root directory...or edit your current index page, which is your under construction page now more than likely. Then make any changes you want to that. It will be your homepage. Then you can make other pages to link to that. You'll need a decent ftp program to access your files. I suggest WSFTP. It's free and saves all your login info. You can also try FireFTP if you use firefox. This is a great program and also free.
