the answer is x is greater than -3 (x > -3).

divide both sides by 3.

Where I went to school, we would say, 3x is greater than 9. If it's as simple as I think, it's just a matter of finding a VALUE FOR X that makes the left side equal to 9. Then for 3x to be greater then 9, x would have to greater than that VALUE.

If you're having trouble recalling this stuff, you should speak with your teacher and your academic advisor. See if you can arrange some tutoring.

u have to find the x value.
3x>-9
x=-9/3=-3
3*-3=9
9>-9
when u change the place of a no even sign changes.
