You did not say WHAT or HOW you are doing your email.

With Yahoo, you can CREATE the folder by hitting the ADD button that appears near the top of the list of folders. Then add a CHECK mark to the email and use the MOVE button.

With Outlook (Outlook Express is similar), go to the FILE menu and pick NEW and pick FOLDER from that list. This will help you to CREATE the new folder. Go to the VIEW menu and pick FOLDER LIST so you can SEE the folder that you made. Then PICK the email message that you want, and DRAG it to that folder.

Good luck

IN OE after you open the email right click .then you get the option to "move to folder"
when the folder page is opened create a folder name as you like and add the messages. Any number of folders can be created subject wise.
In Yahoo mail also this option is available.

How do I move a message into a folder?

It's super easy! Click and hold down on the message, and just drag it over to the left side onto the name of the folder where you want to drop it. When the name of the folder lights up, un-click the message. That's it, you're done! The message is in the folder.

You can also do this with more than one message at a time. Here’s how:

To select a bunch of randomly scattered messages, press the Ctrl key and click each message. To select messages in a sequence (an entire block of emails), press the Shift key and click the first and last message. Swift!

When you’ve selected the messages you want to move (they’re all highlighted), just click on one, hold it down and drag it over to the left side onto the name of the folder where you want to drop it. When the name of the folder lights up, un-click the message. That's it, you're done! All those messages are in the folder.

There are several ways. If you already have the folders created, you can either do a "left click/hold & drag" the item to the folder you want to place it in, a "copy/paste" or click on "Move to" then choose the folder you'd like to move the item to.

Not sure about what you are asking but if you mean to put emails in other folders than your inbox simply click on the email and DRAG it to the folder you want to put it in. In Outlook (if you use it at all) you can create "rules" that will forward emails from specific senders to any folder you wish.
