Are you kidding I would love to buy "Starry Night" by Van Gogh. Wow what a cool thing that would be to have! I mean I love the painting and have a copy, which is just not the same.
You know I have always wondered about that night, I wish I could be in that sleepy little town.
Enjoy:

IF I had the money - I would buy either Starry Night by Van Gogh or a print Monet did of a child running down the garden path. The little girl in the painting looks just like my daughter did at that age.
Great question - thanks so much!!

No, I don't feel the need to posses things in order to enjoy them. I think of art much like I think of a good movie, once I've seen it I taken all it has to offer and I need not see it again. Its static never to change so after the first time what does it have to offer me? With all that said art adds color, texture, dimension to an area and brings visual gratification so its an important decorative element and in that context copies or original works by people you've never heard of including your own work just fine. If you've every watched any of the TV home improvement shows you may have noticed that they sometimes create art to match a decor. I think that does as much as art can do for a space. Anything else is just being elitist by having something nobody else can afford or enjoy.

I love Rembrandt's Self Portrait.
It fascinates me how people see themselves.
Rembrandt did many self portraits over his lifetime.
The one I would buy if I were wealthy beyond dreams, (ah, what the hell I'll have them all!), is the one he did as a young man in 1628.
Would you like to see it?
It is in Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam:
