How can I stay in tip top shape in my sit down job if I'm always being given crisps and doughnut. I am a trim size 8(british size) at the mo but if this carries on I wont be able to fit out the door. Any good exersices I can do sat at my desk?

I am aware that if I just dont eat them I wont put on wait but thats easier said than done. I have always eaten what I liked and never put any weight on but I have never been this immobile at work before.

To balance things out, since your job is extremely immobile, increase your activity away from work. It will off-set what you do at work. Some exercises: (1) Curl your toes in and stretch them out ten times, on each foot, at first. Increase the exercise gradually. (2) Practice holding your stomach in (as though you're in the military). Do this, at first, the same amount of times (ten, since it's one body part) as in # 1. Gradually increase it. When you're away from work, take time to be creative and think of some more simple exercises for yourself as you sit. Any exercise will be rewarded. Good luck!

They are not force feeding you so why eat it. Politely refuse all the offers. Try going to a gym after work or if that is not possible get out during your lunch hour and go for a quick sharp walk.

Maybe a good way is telling your co-workers that you're on a detoxification, or on a special diet, in that way they're not going to feel bad about it. Your not going to get weight, and your going to keep your friends chatting with you instead of bringing you food.

Move house and don't tell anyone?

Seriously though, no one has EVER brought me crisps and doughnuts. Presumably your friends/workmates/family think you love to eat them. You could just say "no thanks" or give them to someone else or tell them you're on a special medical diet. You don't have to please other people all the time you know.

It is easy to put food down. Give up the excuses and do what is healthy for you.

On your lunch break you could take a walk around your building. Always take the long way and the stairs.

If your friends and co-workers are set on plying you with food, you might suggest that they make it healthy, low-calorie food OR just say thanks but no thanks.
