Having been with someone for nearly 2.5 years, and having flown off the handle after being depressed one day, i then got dumped. By text. Why is it that guys are such cowards? He couldnt tell me to my face, or give me a proper reason, or even be there for me when i got/get depressed. And he thought that splitting up was the best way for me to cheer up?!

Forget all that rubbish stereotyping of men being shallow and superficial.
If you guys had being dating for over two years and he dumps you by text message he obviously did not care about you either as a girlfriend or more importantly as a Friend.

Guys dont want depressed needy women. And being dumped over a text message isnt an exclusively male thing to do. I got binned that way once too. The way I saw it was, if she is the kind of person who could dump me in such a way, do I realy want to be with them anyway?

You must of been with the wrong person you should of noticed this after 2.5 years and you must of flown off the handle more times in this 2.5 years this could not of been the 1st time or he was already considering dumping you

Same excuse my ex gave me! Best way to cheer up.....CLOSURE!......then a holiday on your own.....fall in love with being single......it can be sooooo much fun (and i am not just talking about flirting) but the total not having to be somewhere at the right time...the cleaning up after them...the compromising on things...... haning out with all yer friends.....the ones "He" did not like......coffees watching the world go by......single really is fabulous...not to mention falling in love all over again!!!!

if he chosen to no longer pursue issues then there must be a reason you dont say a lot with reference to the area perhas he's in a relationship or different cultures uncertain, yet once you incredibly love this guy then you definitely could desire to do all you are able to to enable him be attentive to you dont desire him to bypass or maby you will bypass flow to the place he is going, in case you dont pursue it your gonna sense sorry approximately it and stay with the questions of no longer understanding and it will harm and issues wont be a similar for you in different relationships on the grounds which you dont have the closure you desire or desire

Guys either use the word "love" to soon and don't mean it,
or they confuse love with lust then realize it. Either way,
splitting up was to cheer him up not you. Men remind me more of cats then they do dogs. Dogs are loyal and they come to you and stay by you because they love you, cats only come to you when they want to be loved!

He's obviously a weak and selfish person. It may not seem like it now, but believe me you are better off without him in the long run !
