The nose ring is a piece of jewelry given to a Muslim woman by her husband to affirm his love for her and to solidify her position within the home.

The nose ring is there so her husband can chain her to the stove when she is supposed to be in the kitchen, to the washing machine when she is supposed to be doing laundry, and to the bed when she is supposed to be doing .... well you get the idea, right?
