I was thinking about getting one, a midgrade for school mostly, upgrading both the memory and hard drive. Does anyone have one, if so, what do you think of it?

I have one. Great machine. The Magsafe power cord is a lifesaver. It saved my machine from taking a spill after I tripped over the power cord - it's attached magnetically and just pops off without dragging the whole machine with it.

Do you HAVE to have one? Laptops are the most stolen item in America. They cost more than desktops, and cost more to Expand. They don't last as long, and break easily.

Any NEW computer that you buy today is GREAT. In the old days, the low priced computers were terrible. But today, even the cheapest is AWESOME.

Visit a MAC store and LOOK. Because of the small size, I always recommend that people SEE it at a store first.

Good luck

I owned an APPLE pobably 30 years ago, but none since.

I suspect that you'll find that Apple and other PC's and how they have a fan base, are like people who LOVE the Fruit,,,APPLE,,, and dislike Oranges. It can be said that the reverse is true also, with neither side being right or wrong in any argument about what is better, or worse.
