There is no way we could have gotten my daughters prom dress off the internet. she tried on prol 30 + dresses trying to find the right fit. They looked great till she got em on and they didnt look right for one reason or another. So unless you know exactly what you are looking for, you really need to go to the store.

Jessica McClintock has amazing, high quality dresses. Make sure you know your measurements-buying a dress without trying it on is frightening. Stay away from "Loralie(sp?)-" I bought a dress from them for my wedding and it was absolute CRAP and they would not take it back under any circumstances, even a quality issue. Jessica McClintock gowns are very well made and afffordably priced. If you have a local boutique that carries the line, you could try one on just for the sake of sizing, and then order from a catalog through them. Waters&Waters is also awesome and has more of a selection.

look at the juniors section in www.dillards.com
after you click juniors, click dresses, then prom dresses.
they have really nice prom dresses!
you can also search prom dresses on www.about.com. they give advice plus sites with it. thats how i found my dress. :)

yahoo or ebay auctions....perhaps you want to check out magazines like Seventeen to get some cheap and pretty ideas too; and shop with friends for ideas...hehe..it's more fun too:) Enjoy that lovely shopping and prom experience!!!

Check E-bay, but also look at JC Penneys catalog, I got my bridesmaids dresses from there and they were great and the price was great too.

Go to Carabella.com they have beautiful dresses and you wont look like everyone else. They also have shoes, jewelry, and bags to go with the dresses.
