no, there are a lot of good foundations in the market. effectivity of the product varies from person to person since there are a lot of things to be considered. mac has a good foundation since it offers full coverage, but my problem with mac is that i cant find a color that has the same color as my skin tone. so i tried different brands until i discovered l'oreal true match. this product is not even as expensive as mac, but it works for me. :)

Mary Kay liquid foundation is one of the best because it has a lot of extra shades to allow for your skin's undertone (making it easier for you to find an exact match)
It's $14.00 and will last you six months or more.

My favorite is Physicians Formula. It works great. It has a sponge applicator attached to the tube to give even application. Also True Match is good because it's easy to find a tone that matches your face. Both can be found at drugstores.

I dont think it is...they don't have too many shades to choose from in my opinion. I like Lancome foundation the best. It has the best coverage...and many to choose from. Try a few brands before you make your decision.
