i would like to have my mail go to new named account my old name was related to my previous employment

Add a new profile to your current account. You can add it through My Account or go into Mail -> options -> addresses and create a new address. With it you will have another profile that you can sign in with, IM with, etc. The mail will all go to the same inbox, so you can still get your old mail but you can also get your new mail.

You cannot change an Email address. Open a new account and you can leave the old email idle for 90 days, then Yahoo will delete it automatically.

Actually, you CAN add email addresses to your current account. Goto mail.yahoo.com and log in
Goto Mail->Options
Goto "Mail Addresses"
Click "Add Account"
Fill in the information, and all email sent to that address will be sent to your inbox!

You can't!! Yahoo isn't THAT great. Same for saving e-mails on your local disk: it's a pain in the butt!!
