How do you feel about homecoming mums?

do you think they're ugly or beautiful; do you love 'em or hate 'em?

Based on the pictures I found (since I had no idea what they were when I first read your question - we don't wear them around here!), they look rather ugly and gaudy! And they all appear to be almost as big as the girl wearing them. *BUT*, when it comes to tradition, it seems like beauty isn't always the main focus, does it? =)

I HATED then when I was in high school, UGH! Lol. I'm finally homeschooled now, hell we even had the girls wear them in damn 6th grade and middle school. I hate how the girls wear those stupid mums and they practically have the mums drag them down because there so heavy and have these humungous items like big teddy bears on them. Every homecoming was horrible since our high school is humungous and so was our middle school there were a million sounds of cow bells and jingling up and down the hallways. It made me just want to rip them to shreds, and they always wore them at the shoulders and the ribbons would drape to the floor. :/ So everyone had to take there time in the hallway and not step on them OR ELSE lol. Geeze. Stupid mums.

I guess if people would do them tastefully and beautiful I wouldn't mind, but goodness they were annoyinggggg!

Haha, I also want to state that i'm from Texas as well. Where Football is huge. Probably why mums are so friggin popular and horribly annoying! Geeze makes me want to grind my teeth thinking about it.

Well I am originally from south Tx. where football is HUGE ! And mums are cool. They are fun, and a tradition! mums and garders.So I LOVE THEM.. and i mess them since you can only wear them when u r in high school or at your class reunion. So GO FOR IT! FYI if u are going to buy one for a girl... a real flower mum is very special!!! U'll score pts.. im sure!
