For example tell you that if you finish something by noon on Thursday that you can go to Disneyland but then at 5am thrusday morning change their minds and say they changed their minds and they wanted it done by Wendsday at midnight.

My Mom said it was also because of my attitude. She claims I yell at her, I know I do, but I am one on thoes people who naturally talk alittle loud and she knows that I do.
Also I have most of the work done, I just have 3 or 4 things left, and at 10:30 I decided to go to be and get up early and finish them (I didn't have school because of the aformentioned Disneyland trip) and at 5 my mom wakes me up and says wake up you're going to school.

No that's not cool. Parents should follow through on promises. (Unless you did something to mess up). I don't break promises I make to my son.

This sounds like a miscommunication to me. When was the Disneyland trip scheduled for? Thursday afternoon? It sounds like your parents thought that, since you did not finish your work before you went to bed on Wednesday, that you were not going to do it, when you were under the impression that you had until noon on Thursday. You should talk to your parents (without getting overheated, since that is likely to make them mad too), and explain that you or they might have misunderstood the deadline and that you'll gladly do the work you have to if they clearly explain WHEN it needs to be finished. Have them write it on a message board if needs be, but make sure you have proper communication, and if it is set down in writing like that, you have a really good case for telling them to hold their end of the bargain. Hope that helps!

If she provides a roof over your head, clothes on your back and food in your belly then she can do what ever she wants to do. I think she was in the right. You are just a child and you need to do what she says when she says it.

no. then, the kids feel no faith in trusting their parents, so the children won't do what they say, or they give their hopes up n know that it'll never happen.
worse case scenario, it can mentally damage the child, who may find trust hard to believe later in life.

No, I agree that is not right, however they should not be making that promise to begin with. You should clean your room for nothing. It is your responsibility and does not deserve reward.
