Everything or just certain files?

Use the RESTORE disk to FORMAT and reinstall Windows again if you want everything deleted.

For MY DOCUMENTS, just open that up. Pick any files that you do not want, and hit the RED X that you see near the menu. (or Right click and pick DELETE)

For PROGRAMS that you do not want, go into your Control Panel, and pick ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. Pick the programs that you do not want, and use the REMOVE button.

For other data files, you want to learn how to use Windows Explorer. Look for that under PROGRAMS in the ACCESSORIES section.

Good Luck

It depends on what you mean.

You can just delete the unwanted files.
If you want to get rid of an application, you must "un-install" it from your Control Panel.
If you want to get rid of everything, you can restart your computer in DOS mode and reformat your drive. However, you will lose everything, including your operating system (Windows).

If you want to get rid of sensitive material like love letters from your cousin, or graphic photos from last nights porn-fest, then download and use a free sample of East-tec Eraser from:
http://www.east-tec.com/download/index.htm
It automatically cleanses all temp files used by your browser, in addition to evidence, history, and sensitive records hidden anywhere on your drive or anything that can be traced or recovered later.
It employs the same erase settings used by the U.S. Defense Department.
Files cannot be recovered, even with special equipment.

you just simply delete them ..
or format the hard disk
but this does not get rid off this data completely so what do you do ?
btu the best way to get rid of data from your hard disk is by use of shredders which overwrite the data with random data making it hard for any program to recover it

Short answer = delete it. lol

If you're talking about making your computer faster, then try going to www.download.com and getting Ad-aware and Spybot, update them and scan your system. Go into Tools, Internet Options and delete your history and temporary internet files, and run a disk cleanup in the Start menu.

If you might have any films in your computer put off them, approximately I GB every. Go into upload or put off programmes and put off any programmes that you simply don`t use. Personally if it was once me, I might retailer whatever I had to disc or pen force, then structure the rough force and reinstall. I feel the additional GB you wish to have are for transitority documents in the course of the set up, or else you might want simply lower than 1GB.

Hit start>control panel>add/remove software, and delete what you don''t want. If you want to clear everything then format the hard drive, this will clear everything.
