A muslim woman is campigning for her right to wear her veil in a classromm...kids teacher (this covers the face and only leave a little peep hole for the eyes)...surely this is really dangerous in general in addition to the fact that it increases segregation...However a BA worker was sacked because she wore a crucifix on her neck. Surely this double standards has to end sometime...Are muslims becoming overly sensitive in this day and age...Surely we are allowed to express ourselves without being accused of 'islamophobia'. Jerry springer made a joke out of xtians but we took it well and didnt burn down anything. What would have happened if Mohammed was thebutt of Jerry's Joke? Yeah there were cartoons...so what...it s all about freedom of speech and if you dont like it then you should really be able to look away....
Isnt freedom of speech the right for me to insult others and the right for others to insult me...If your conscience allows it obviously!!!

I for one...I m all for human rights and people should really be allowed to express themselves be it from wearing a veil or crucifix...but where do we draw the line....

to ar: cartoons are a joke...although they were viewed as totally out of order they are still a joke...maybe a little bit more expensive though...like i said jerry springer's show...even the da vinci's code...if all this was done about Mohammed, then surely we would not hear the end of it...I just think islamic laws are a bit violent...take sharia law for example...cutting off people's limbs and killing people who commit adultery...surely there has to be a pattern emerging here

Wearing a veil is a requirement of the religion (for some believers). Wearing a crucifix is not. One is practicing your religion and one is promoting it (though that's pretty ridiculous to fire someone for wearing a crucifix. I imagine you do not have all the information).
I don't see how covering your body is dangerous. Is the teacher going to conceil a weapon and attack the kids? You can't make this assumption. I also do not see how it segregates anyone.
You can say whatever you want, but you should at least attempt to be intelligent about it. Your statements are, in fact, "islamophobic", so I don't see why you would expect people to state otherwise. That same freedom of speech applies to people who want to call you islamophobic.

If the school system has a rule against the wearing of veils in the classroom then the Muslim teacher can either comply with the rule or get another job someplace else, that's my opinion. She is not being forced to take that job, yet it seems she is seeking to force her practice of wearing a veil on others, and this is a notorious double-standard if there ever was one. If the teacher does not like this then she should go back to whatever country it was she came from where the wearing of veils is the norm.
it is time we all stood up against this nonsense.

Hope this helps u. As a muslim I believe that it is totally wrong religiously for us to burn up buildings, kill people for no reason etc. This is in conjunction with the true Islam.
You should know that in Islam the drawing and taking of pictures arnt allowed. The fact that someone decides to depict the most revered person in a way that was most untrue and filled with blasphamy obvoiusly hurt.
Because the prophet condemned and DID NOT condone
violence.
HE is a role model to everyone of us. There is a differance between mockery of the highest degree, and a joke.
Do you think we would stand for it if even Jesus (peace be upon him) was depicted in that manner??

Sharia law is always misinterpretd by the western world. The stonning to death of the adulter and adultress occurs only when there are 4 reliable, good, honest eyewitnesses. If there is even a speck of doubt concerning adultry or even stealing then the punishment does not stand. Look at saudi arabia, a person can litterally leave his shop OPEN, his unattended and go to pray, for lunch or anywere else for that matter.
I phrased myself incorrectly saying no reason, its not to be done at all. Our prophet has prohibited us from burning up buildings, harming monks in their monestries, people engaged in prayer,the aged,women, ill, children, and the innocent at the time of war. Out of war even usurping the rights, let alone killing another human ( animal, trees, plants) is tottally forbidden.
The pattern that I see is that other people try to interpret a way of life in an absolutly incorrect manner.
Alot of muslims believe that the veil is compulsary so it is NOT insanity that allows us to be devout enough to follow what our religion teaches.
Hello this does not impair ur vision or hearing in the least, how many road accidents do u get by drinkinging and driving (prohibited in my religion) in comparison to those who wear the Nikaab, u even got the name wrong) ask those who wear the veil.How can one get info regarding this from those who dont???
And dvds installed in cars is way more dangerous than wearing the veil and driving. Really what bullshit. I know thousands of women, living in a modern, western world who choose to wear the veil and drive and non of them have had an accident as yet!!!!!!!

Devout Muslims, as opposed to nominal muslims, have no sensitivities. Instead of a functioning brain they have instead a set of conditioned responses. They don't logically think about things and arrive at conclusions. Push the button and get the programed response, rather like your computer, which can regurgitate any inputted item but no can come up with something new or independent. They are out to kill, convert or enslave us and no accommodation will placate them. They push forward on every front without regard to any cost. Remember, their book tells them we are not human and they can use every lie, stab in the back, and treachery in their drive to take over the world. Fortunately for us ( I'm not a christian, but a Buddhist) their murderous zealousness is equaled by their supreme stupidity. So they will be a bother for us for a while but they clearly have no future. Which they know and why they are so mad. They're in the trashcan of history and we just have to put the lid on it

HOW would you like your muslim classroom assistant to teach your child wearing her veil if say for example he was hard of hearing. this was not the case. How would you like your child taught by a nudist, surely he has the same right to wear nothing as the veil is not compulsory to be worn in the Islamic faith, it is worn by personal choice, then my nudist friends must be given the same choice. WE HAVE GOT TO STOP THIS INSANITY NOW.
As far as im concerned to teach any child of any denomination other than the regulation dress code for staff is breaking your contract of employment. the same goes for the lady from BA .
all schools must adopt a policy from within the own area i have no beef with any muslim or jewish teacher wearing her religion for all to see, if thats what the contract of employment says you are allowed to do. LF

You have the right to insult me and I to you right? I also have the right to portest against it and to boycott you! You can argue with that!
Simply put: If the law protects you insulting me, it also protects me boycotting you!
And how come Iconoclasam is okay and declaring the state of Isreal was justified is okay but saying the Holocaust was not real is not okay? HOW COME? See their are limitation to freedom of speech but in the west's favor!

NO, why should she be allowed to wear a veil in class yet soft caps are banned. Soft caps are banned for a reason, that is for identity reasons. We must be able to see their faces, if they don't like it, move back to the middle east.
