It's a hoax:
Rumors of a car crash causing his death were spread on the Internet in September 2006 but the website announcing the news turned out to be a hoax.
However, on Tuesday, September 19th, Tiësto complained of chest pains and shortness of breath. As a result, he was hospitalized in the Netherlands for medical testing. Early indications are that he is suffering from a condition known as pericarditis. The doctors are confident that he will make a complete recovery through the use of medication and rest. It is understood however that he will be forced to miss some performances he was scheduled to appear at. In fact, his presentation in October 2006 in Tijuana, Mexico has already been postponed until further notice.

damn. that's so not true. well, at least i hope not. haha. but it is true that he has been hospitalized for heart problems... that's why some of his gigs are being cancelled.
