The basic differences between the three deal with doctrinal views regarding the sacraments and various practices. Catholicism was the original Christian church, as established by Christ with St. Peter as the first pope. The Anglican church was established after a split from Rome under Henry VIII, partially fueled by his desire to divorce his first wife Catherine, but also for other reasons. Between the three, the Catholic Church and the Anglican Church are the most closely aligned in terms of doctrine in most areas. I am not really familiar with the practices of the Anglican Church, but I am a practicing Catholic, with a great deal of knowledge of Baptist practices. Catholics believe in the authority of the Bishop of Rome over the entire church- you would know him best as the Pope. We believe in the existence of 7 sacraments, beginning with baptism preferably as soon after birth as possible. We believe that during the consecration, the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ. Our parishes are led by a priest, who is consecrated in a sacrament known as Holy Orders, and takes vows of chastity, poverty and obedience. Priests attend a seminary normally for four years before they are ordained priests, and are usually in their mid to late 20's before they are admitted to the seminary. A priest may not marry in the Latin Rite, but in the Orthodox Rite a married man may become a deacon or priest. He may not remarry if his wife dies, though. An Orthodox priest who is married also cannot be promoted above that level- only celibate priests may go on to become bishops. Baptist preachers are usually married, but do not have to be to lead a church. They are usually ordained ministers after attending a Baptist seminary, but can also be ordained without it. Baptists do not believe in infant baptism, nor do they permit baptism before you reach what they call the age of reason. They believe a person must ask for baptism, and also must be fully immersed in water to be baptized. Catholics may be immersed, or the water can simply be poured over the head. Baptists do not believe Christ is present in the bread or wine, they view it more as a symbolic recreation of the Last Supper. Baptists also do not use wine in their celebration, for reasons I am not entirely clear on. Baptist churches, as well as the Anglican Church are considered to be Protestant religions, from the protesting groups against abuses within the church at the beginning of the Reformation period. There are several branches of the Baptist church, with many differences in style and practice of worship. Whereas a priest is assigned to a parish by the bishop of the diocese, a Baptist church may hire or fire a preacher without according to the desires of the local congregation. I believe Anglican priests are also free to marry or not, as they wish. The Anglican Church also allows the ordination of women, something neither the Catholics nor the Baptists will permit. There are other differences, particularly the view on divorce and remarriage within the church, in vitro fertilization, and birth control as well.
To get a clearer picture of the doctrinal differences, you can access many different websites. If you search using the name Baptist, Anglican or Catholic doctrine, you should bring up quite a selection. I believe there is actually a headquarters for the American Baptist Association, which should give you quite a bit of information. Also, if you contact a Baptist preacher, a priest, or Anglican minister, they usually are very happy to answer questions regarding their beliefs, without taking any offense at all. Some may even have booklets or such that they can give or loan you for your research. I know there are some in the Catholic Church we attend, specifically for that purpose, and I would think the others would have them as well. Good luck with your homework.

No I'm not religious but I do have a faith. I believe in God being the creator of the world. I believe Jesus Christ to be God's son. Christianity has changed the way I view life and my relationships with people. Yes I go to a place of worship at least once a week, sometimes more often, and we have home groups once a week where small groups meet in each others houses. Not all of my friends share my faith. There are restrictions that are Bible based, but they are not considered so much restrictions as guidance and I have tried to adhere to them. We recognise Easter, Christmas, weddings and funerals, also baptism and infant dedication. No special clothing is worn either by the church members or the pastors. I didn't attend a faith-based school, although I have taught in a Church school.

Anglican's were split off from Catholicism by King Henry the eigth of England because he wanted a divorce and the pope wouldn't give it to him. Catholics are an old church that was formed when the Roman Emporer Constantine accepted Christianioty and shortly thereafter it became the state religion of the Roman Empire.

Baptists are protestant churches that believe in adult baptism. they grew out of radical annabaptist sects in Germany shortly after protestism started

For catholic-anglican, my local vicar said that the catholics believe that the communion wine and bread become Christ's blood and body, whereas anglicans see them as a symbol. Apart from that he didn't see much difference.
