Many people have reported that they don't like it. Some people do.
Here is why I don't like it.
- controls are very different. Some people don't catch on so easily. Why change?
- Apparently, built-in firewall, popup controls are hard to figure out. So some websites that generally use popup windows to show help and other options will give you trouble. "HEY, I just want these things to WORK without ME having to do anything" or "It worked before, now it doesn't?"
- Favorites are different, where did they go?
You see, most Windows programs have a visible menu bar that goes:
File Edit View blah blah blah HELP
Microsoft crammed that common style down our throats since 1991.... now they want to change? Just how silly is that?
Since this is THE LOOK of Windows Vista, the release of Internet Explorer 7 is JUST a sales pitch for their new product. You can PASS until you MUST upgrade. After all, you did not automatically buy into Internet Explorer 6. In fact, you might have used Netscape 4.7 through the poor stages of Internet Explorer when it just plain sucked. (and IE 7 is back to sucky).
If you grow tired of your IE7 experiment, you can see Uninstall instructions and tips RIGHT HERE at YA (Yahoo Answers).

It depends entirely on what version of Norton Anti-Virus you are using and what kind of package is installed. If it is either express, custom, etc. then certainly there will be extra programs that have different functions asides from fighting viruses. There is only one application of Norton that fights viruses and it's Norton Anti-Virus. Of course, you might have Norton GoBack, Norton Ghost, etc. but these are just part of the package and have different functions. What you should do is to open the Norton Anti-Virus window and look through all of the links that could lead to disabling the program. Like I said earlier, it really depends on what version and since you didn't specify the version I could not give you the exact directions in disabling. Even if I did, I would have typed as many paragrpahs which is a waste of time. Once you're in the Norton Anti-Virus window there are certain links which you must click to find the disabling feature. Sometimes, the disabling feature is hidden or removed so good luck. But I assure you, all versions of Norton Anti-Virus must have a disabling feature if not a schedule for disabling.

You have to decide yourself, grasshopper.
Look at the evidence - is IE6 stable? Secure? Usable?
Have you seen reports that IE7 has problems?
Of course - there ARE other alternative....

I recently installed it and haven't experienced any problems. In a side-by-side test, though, Firefox loads the page faster.

No, stick with IE6 for now. There are way too many bugs in IE7 to make it worth your while to switch right now. Wait until they fix it... (IF they fix it! Go Microsoft! lol)
