They represent diffring degrees of ability of a non-terminally differentiated cell to assume different pathways for differentiation. Totipotent = embryonic stem cells, they can form any type of cell.
Pluripotent = cells which can still choose several different paths of differentiation.
Multipotent = similar to pluripotent but perhaps slightly different in inferred meaning

In cell biology, the definition of pluripotency has come to refer to a stem cell that has the potential to differentiate into any of the three germ layers: endoderm (interior stomach lining, gastrointestinal tract, the lungs), mesoderm (muscle, bone, blood, urogenital), or ectoderm (epidermal tissues and nervous system).

Multipotent stem cells can give rise to several other cell types, but those types are limited in number.

Totipotency is the ability of a single cell, usually a stem cell, to divide and produce all the differentiated cells in an organism, including extraembrionic tissues.

Pluripotency means the development of organs (eg:lungs, heart etc)
It develops at the time of 8-celled stage.Refer more in +2 Biology books. I didn't heared about multipotency.... Sorry

AND HERE IS YOUR ANSWER....

The potency specifies the differentiation potential (the potential to differentiate into different cell types) of the stem cell.

TOTIPOTENT stem cells are produced from the fusion of an egg and sperm cell. Cells produced by the first few divisions of the fertilized egg cell are also totipotent. These cells can differentiate into embryonic and extraembryonic cell types.
PLURIPOTENT stem cells are the descendants of totipotent cells and can differentiate into cells derived from the three germ layers.
MULTIPOTENTstem cells can produce only cells of a closely related family of cells (e.g. hematopoietic stem cells differentiate into red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, etc.).
UNIPOTENT cells can produce only one cell type, but have the property of self-renewal which distinguishes them from non-stem cells.

TOTIPOTENCY MEANS THAT ALL THE CELLS OF AN ORGANISM CAN GIVE RISE TO AN ENTIRELY NEW ORGANISM WHEN ISOLATED. THIS IS SEEN IN PLANTS. HERE "TOTI" REFERS TO "TOTAL POTENTIAL"
PLURIPOTENCY MEANS ONLY CERTAIN CELLS CAN GIVE RISE TO AN ENTIRE ORGANISM. EXAMPLE: THE STEM CELLS AN THE CELLS OF THE EARLY EMBRYONIC AGE. "PLURI" REFERS TO "PARTIAL POTENTIAL".
MULTIPOTENCY REFERS TO AN UNDIFFERENTIATED CELL GIVING RISE TO MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF DIFFERENTIATED CELLS.
