But if a white comedian makes a joke about a black guy, WELL it just the end of the world.....soon enough good ole Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton will jump on the ban wagon and the white guy is going strait to hell.

Why is there no United Caucasian College fund???
Why is there no "Cloud TV" that shows strictly white TV programs?
Why can't there be a magazine like "JET" covering white people issues?
WHY IN THE HELL is it still OK, in this day and age to have "Color Specific" anything.....If everyone want's equality???
We all speak the same language.....there's no need for separation......

I guess my question is ....
Why can't the White Man preserve his culture without being classified as a RASIST???

(I am not a racist, I was just watching Martin Laurance and this question came to mind)

George Carlin and Lisa Lampanelli are viewed as racists? You learn something new everyday huh? Seriously, as one of my former supervisors once told me, "It's not what you do but how you do it". Humor and humiliation are easily distinguished. Secondly, one would argue that the reason why white comedians may be a little limited when it comes to race jokes is because what can be called the flip of the coin. Whites were able to mock and crack jokes about black people for years back in the days of blackface. What could black people do back then? Not much. Now reverse that and you have your question...

Oh, you mean how come the racism against one race is baaaaad, but it's OK the other way around? I don't know. And I don't think it's right.

I understand the history and the slavery issue and even the discrimination that followed the slavery... But I am sorry, I don't think anyone of the presently living people had slaves (at least not in the US) and quite a lot of them by now wouldn't even remember half of the horrors done to the African-American population in their parents' and grandparent's times.

So why is it OK for one race to discriminate another only for something that the ancestors did??? After all that's what we have now... Discrimination of the white race!

No offense..

But I believe black people get to be irritated easily, this is because they know that White Men were more respected than the black people. Although in certain circumstances, some black men are respectable, but in generally speaking when a person from different country met this black and white man, ofcourse the tendency is that the White man will be approach first... this is the case wherein the black men feels rejected that when you get to make fun of him, they explode easily because they know that they are not that much liked by some people. And some people really looked to the White ones, because it is natural for a certain person to be a racist, no matter what and how still they have high respect for WHite people...
White people who gets a lot of attention, just lay off their hands to the black ones when they get criticized and played to., for the reason that the White MAn also has a respect for this black people and that they don't want to make them feel that they are unwanted by the society...

What I think is that it not okay for either person to make those kind of jokes about the other, but people with darker skin were persecuted such a lot earlier on in history...I guess now, it seems okay for them to make jokes about white people, because they put up with so much in the past. Also, when people think of racism, they generally think of white to black racism. but it works two ways. I'm not trying to be racist, I'm terribly sorry if I come across that way.

Seems to me you're more concerned about the labels on things and not the substance. I'd be more than happy to change the name of every racially identifiable organization if you make all those overwhelmingly white and narcissistic organizations more fully inclusive and representative of the whole range of people in this country.

Everyone does not want to see magazine after magazine and show after show featuring the same incredibly narrow range of people - namely a wild over representation of emaciated, blond haired, blue eyed whites - with a few (and I mean a very few) non-whites thrown in as tokens and those almost all mixed with white unless they're rich.

When "mainstream" shows and publications wean themselves from the addiction to the idea that that is all America wants to see, there will be far less interest in what you call separatist organizations and media venues.

If you really looked at it, throughout history whites have oppressed or enslaved most of the world. During the age of imperialism, Africa, Asia and the Americas were colonies of different European nations. Also, during that time period, the whites treated the people they were conquering as low as dirt. You also have to remember that for centuries, whites have enslaved the blacks and natives of the new world to do all the tasks they didn't want to do.

Some blacks feel they need to be compensated because of the way their elder relatives were treated and by cutting others down they feel power or that they are the ones that have control . You have good questions I have asked some of them myself why are whites always the ones being considered the racists look at oprah winfree she attacks white people all the time when its white people that have helped her to get to where she is at

A very good question. Where does the conservation of a culture - any culture - cross into racism? It is a balance we have certainly not achieved yet.

The same can also be said for Gender, Age and probably any other -ism you can come up with.

Black people are racist ....they hate us! The hate is perpetuated by them!! We only respond to that.....they are loud, brash, and hateful!! No, we don't speak the same language!! LOL They speak "Ebonics" or however you spell that! I have a hard time understanding them! They alienate themselves; then blame us. Blame is their game...they love to place the blame on us! It's always someone Else's fault....they are still doing that "woe is me" crap from slavery!! They just need to get over it!!

Why, why, why, right? The world is a strange place. There's always a double standard. Doesn't mean it's right. Just a fact of life.
