Well, you are either FOR the willful killing of innocent life OR you are not. No gray area.
Do you understand WHAT abortion is?
http://www.abortionno.org
The strongest argument I hear from the Pro Choice side is "what if a woman is raped? do we force her to have a baby?" .002% of all abortions are from rape or incest, it is a NON issue in the argument supporting abortion. Do we insist that an innocent child pay for the crime of its father? Instant death penalty for that baby?
Out of the 500,000 + abortions since Roe in January 1973 only 1,000 approxiamately have been done for women who were raped or victims of incest.
I also hear "her body her choice". OK, however, it is NOT the womans body that is mutilated, ripped apart and thrown into the garbage where rats and stray dogs can feed from it. It is the BABY's body.
A woman whose life is in danger because she is pregnant should have right to an abortion. NEVER was abortion NOT allowed for these women AND 98% of abortions are for PURELY ELECTIVE reasons througout ALL 9 MONTHS of pregnancy. So, again, a NON issue.
Another, "all children should be wanted children, otherwise they will be born into abuse and neglect". There is NO SUCH THING as an unwanted child! Thousands of families are eager to adopt ANY child. By the way, since the Roe decision, have you noticed a decline OR increase in cases of sexual and physical abuse, abandonment, children being raised by grandparents and other persons, broken families, teen pregnancy, children born addicted to alcohol and drugs, children being killed by other children, children killing teachers and schoolmates....and the list goes on.
Another, "we cant have 13 year olds out there having babies" well, we do dont we. And did abortion being legalized counteract that? NO, it didnt. If a 13 year old is pregnant, she is already a mother, the only thing left to be decided is IF she will be the mother of a living baby or a dead one.
Another, "it is unfair to bring a child into the world with disablities" WHO are we to decide WHO is fit to LIVE??? IS this Nazi Germany? Do we next throw Downs Syndrome babies (abortionists number one target) into gas chambers because they are seen as unfit by others? Why do we celebrate, or at least claim to, diversity and at the same time turn our backs on those among us who are differntly abled than others?
Abortion is an act of violence that horrifically ends the life of a LIVING BABY. Know what you are standing up for BEFORE you get on that soapbox!
Best Of Luck

The way that I look at it abortion is a pizz poor means of birth control, Yes you are killing a baby, however the federal government should have no say in how we live our daily lives or our morality. This decision should be up to each individual state and what a majority of the voters think about it. Remember just because you make abortions illegal they will not stop, the difference is they will be done in sleazy motels under unsanitary conditions. I was alive before Roe V. Wade. and many girls died from infection and bleeding to death. Legislation is not a good answer to this problem as far as I am concerned, the best solution is in education. This includes abstinence and other birth control methods.

The strong point of pro choice is that morality can not be legislated by government.
Pro Choice or Pro Life comes down to 1..whether you believe life begins at conception and why you believe it. 2. Whether you believe life begins when the fetus is viable outside of the womb.

1.If you belive life begins at conception due to religious reasons, that is your personal choice but you cant force another person to believe that way. Not everyone believes life begins at conception.
2. If you believe life begins when the fetus is viable outside of the womb there is no harm with abortion and that is your personal choice.
It all just comes down to what one persons core beliefs are and you will never get anyone to believe the same thing. It should be kept safe and instead education promoted not brow beating women with"believe what I say or you are a killer"

Prevents children from being born to parents who aren't fit to raise children. Since abortion has become legal, crime has dropped dramatically across the country, this is not a coincidence.
