I have never heard this - but I love it! Also, I have 3 pairs of red shoes. Is this what people are thinking when I step out in them?? no wonder I get so much attention when I have them on...

"Red shoes and no knickers" or "All fur and no knickers" are old fashioned expressions describing a person who is very flashy or loud in appearance but is very superficial. In other words someone who is all show and no substance.

My old man used to say that, along with "Red Hat, Red Drawers!"
However, I have collected no confirming evidence on either as of yet.
