Intel Core 2 duo is growing in popularity, you might want to check that out. Or get an AMDX2 processor. I would build my pc from scratch that way its cheaper (can be) if you know where to look for parts and you know exactly what you are buying because you are going piece by piece.

HP is much better quality than Dell, unless you buy the top of the line models from Dell. And since an E6400 is THE processor to buy right now, on a price-performance basis, if you can afford it, you won't be disappointed. Plus, that's even a good price. I say go for it.

Just sent you an Email with some comparisons on it, HP are good, avoid Dell unless you can buy a ridiculoused priced one.
As said I just bought a very powerful HP gamers machine.

It really depends what you want to do with it (i.e internet surfing, desk top publishing, spreadsheet calculations, playing latest games, etc). Work out what your need is, then set yourself a budget you can afford, as these things can spiral cost wise when you start to add on different options (ie Scanners, Graphics Cards, Large screens, etc). Then once you have your baseline of it's purpose and a maximum affordable budget then you can find a PC closest to fit the bill.

No, HP counts every uasage from their ink cartrages and when they hit a certain number whether there is still ink in the resevoir they will cut it off and require you to buy new ones. This is indicative what kind of company HP is,and should show you to stay away from purchasing HP!

This PC is ok, but I couldn't see what Graphics it had. If you want to play games then the best graphics card is 512mb, and one that's not integrated (which i think this one is).

Overall the PC looks fine. Dont forget that you'll need monitor etc if you haven't got it already.

Good brand....
