A lot of people now use business clubs, but be wary of those as often they work on a recommendation basis. For example; each week you would have to give details of two people you know that may be interested in the services of someone else in the club! A fast way to lose contacts too! They aren't all like that though, so just be choosy. Also check society pages of your local glossy and try to attend some of the events if you can, as a lot of high fliers are usually there and it's a nice relaxed setting. Trade magazines are also a good reference, so try and find out about the ones for your industry. Wherever you are just keep your eyes open and get talking to people. Remember not all important business people wear suits! Although they are easier to spot!!
