I don't think there any programs that enable people to cheat except for "poker bots". These are programs that can calculate odds and outs and can play on several tables at once.

Another way people can cheat is to collude, e.g by telling each other their cards over MSN or the telephone.

I think (and hope!) that in general, most of the players are honest and just want to play a game of poker!

There is software out their that claims to allow you to see other peoples cards but I doubt it works as advertised. There are also poker bots that play for you but they are not a serious threat because they don't play any better than the average human player and become very predictable after awhile to serious online player.

The most effective for of cheating in online poker is collusion. This were two or more players work together at the same table to manipulate the game. But because the gambling industry is based on people trusting that their games are fare they work very hard to eliminate cheats. If word got out that an on-line poker room allowed cheats it would quickly go bankrupt. Your best protection is to play at the larger well established sites and to be alert and aware.

The most common way people cheat online is via conference calls. Say three or four guys all sit down at the same table from different locations. They can then share what there cards are. The profit margin from this is very small. I really wouldn't worry about it. If you have a bad feeling about something fishy is going on then leave the poker table.

There is a bot program that monitors all ppls hands then equates the best odds thus giving the player a better chance by a form of equation of all possible hands etc on another puter...I read that a lot of ppl use them even tho the Poker sites say they monitor but hey they still get their cut of profit ,so I can't see them reacting too much.

Honest ppl playing straight up will not beat those that use this bot..it was worked out by a mathematician so pretty foolproof and hard to catch those using it..

You will lose believe me, how do u think they can afford to pay millions in prizes without a lot of ppl being knocked away early??

There's really only one way, to chat on MSN or voice about what your hole cards are, so you know what one other person at the table is holding. It happens, but don't worry, you can still make a living and probably will never meet a cheating player.

I actually bought this purely out of curiosity and it's a lot of complete nonsense. It involves you installing software on your friend's computers to spy on them as they play - not ethical, not easy, and not particularly nice to do that to your friends :-)
