I don't mean to answer a question with a question, or even be pragmatic and boring about this, but isn't the cranium of each individual ultimately his/her haven (and at times his/her chamber of horrors)? ... And notice, btw, how they each occupy a different physical space.

The spiritual healing centre Casa De Dom Ignacio in Abadiania, Brazil.

In the centre I was miraculously healed from ALS/MND. The whole experience was extraordinary & very spiritual. I call it "The waiting room to Haven".

My home is my own personal haven. It exist because our family has made it our home. Our home is a place where we feel safe, loved, protected and we can relax and be a family together.
