This can be pretty complicated, so I will just tell you the name of events and let you research them.
1) The Crusades and various other religious tensions, stretching as far back as the Patriarchs in the Bible.
2) World War II and the Holocaust.
3) The creation of Israel out of Palestine.
4) The Six Days War between Israel and the local Arab nations.
5) Osama bin Laden trained by the CIA to fight Russians in Afghanistan.
6) Saddam Hussein given WMD by the CIA.
7) Persian Gulf War.
8) 1993 bombing of the WTC and subsequent arrests.
9) USS Cole attack.
10) US Embassy Attack. (this and 9 may be switched, I can't remember the order.)
11) 9-11.
Again, I just skimmed through the lead up; there are a number of other events that were an influence, but this should put you on the right path.

Try using Google and Ask.com. How far back do you want to go? I mean about 15 billion years ago there was this big bang. A lot has happened beteen then and September 11, 2001.
You really need to be a little more specific with your questions.
