You should take your child to a pediatrician and explained what has happened. An infant's cranium is rather fragile, and your child might have suffered a cranial fracture (worst case scenario) with rupturing of the outer cerebral meninges (Dura mater). A rupture of this sort can lead to leakage of cerebral liquid out of the nose and/or ears. Since your child has a cold, such a leakage can be hard do differentiate from regular nasal secretion.

My son fell out of his cot at that age ,flipped right over the railing. He landed on carpet which was lucky. He was fine .Babies are resilient things. Just keep a close watch on him over the next 24 hrs,and make sure you always put something soft on the floor beside his bed as it will happen again believe me.

My son climbed out of his crib at 8 months (with it on the lowest setting) and he was just fine. His front four teeth are discolored and the dentist said it was probably from falling like he did. They were all in he had a pacifier in his mouth so it caused the teeth to shove back up some and messed up the root.

First of all the reason he has a cold has nothing to do with his fall.
You should however take him to a doctor if he has disturbances.
The signs to look for when a child is hurt is vomiting, constant crying, fever and other symptoms that may be new due to that event.
Honestly I think you should be talking to your heath care and not just asking questions through the Internet.
Be a bit more responsible.

I am a nurse, although he may have a bruise he will probably be okay. What you need to look for is any vomiting, or changes in your baby's behavoir. You also need to evaluate did he hit his head and how far was the fall. I would call your baby's family doctor as soon as they open.

take him to see a doctor because you never know what happen without the cold if he sems normal i don`t think you have to worry even though i still would take him to a doctor.
But with the cold how can you tell what is from his cold and what not.
Their are a couple thing that could have happen from that fall so go to the doctor, then you don`t need to worry anymore.

It could possibly cause a concussion. Keep a careful eye on him. If he seems unnaturally drowsy or irritable, or just "not right", have him checked out by a doctor.
