I really like them. There is a Starbucks "booth" in the Meijer where I work and I indulge several times a week even though it's a bit pricey. I got gift cards for my birthday so that was cool.
The food items I have tried (while also pricey) have been yummy. Love the lemon pound cake. The atmosphere is pretty non existent at the one I mentioned but I know the people who work there and they are super nice. The customers are always decent. if a good cup of java gets them shopping and spending money more power!
There's a new "regulation" sized store across town but I haven't checked that out yet.
I don't like the "cold" drinks as well because I think of just coffee when I go there. I LOVE Caramel Macchiato!
PS-YES, I have had coffee today but sadly, not Starbucks.

My honest opinion about Starbucks is as follow:-
Concerning the beverages, they do specialize in a wide variety
Concerning food items, they are limited in what they have available
The atmosphere and environment is pleasant, although they think that they are the best ones on the block
The customers are ok
Overall, it is ok. However, I would not be interested in having a coffee or anything there at all to eat, and the reason for that is because they are grossly over-priced. They think that all of what they have available is Gold, and believe me, it's not. It is nothing more than a grossly inflated fancy coffee shop, who is trying to find suckers to buy from them.

I love the beverages at Starbucks, especially the caramel apple cider (yummy). Some of the food is really good, but for the most part, I don't really care for it. I'd rather go sit at a fountain with my pals and enjoy my drink (like in Chinatown in downtown Seattle), because the stores and a lot of the customers are really arrogant.

It's wrong wrong wrong! Starbucks' is the Maccy D of coffee and it makes me feel sick. They also take trade away from the independent coffee shops that sell nice stuff!
