Because they are looking outward instead of inward. In other words they haven't matured to your level yet. They are still turned on by what they see outside. They haven't realized yet that just because the package looks good on the outside' It can still be rotten apples on the inside.

I don't think that all teenage girls are shallow, but they are influenced by their friends unfortunately... I think you just haven't found the right "niche" yet with the right girl. Keep on being positive and you'll attract the right girl. It's a "zen thing" - when you stop trying so hard, circumstances (i.e., the girl) will find you...

sometimes, you see a great guy and think of him as a great friend. they might like him but be shy about it or worry because their friends wouldn't like him. it is shallow, but they will grow out of it. i never really felt like that, if i liked someone i'd just go for it. maybe they just see him as a friend and they need something to spark.

Because they are too young to know any better and most will not realize this for years to come. Right now they are living their Barbie doll lives.

because they are not mature yet......if you are that worried about teenage girls being shallow then dont date them!!:)
