simple answer, men always watch other women. its in his nature. now suppose if i look at one woman i will think how beautiful she is. but the same thing men dont like if someone think about his wife or fiancee or anyone. yes its true man is little selfish in this matter. but honest also.

Men are funny like that. We always know when another man is looking at our woman, and we don't like it. It's a double-standards problem; we like to look at other girls, and wonder why you girls get upset with us when we're caught, but if another man is looking at you... God help them. A man will regress back to his basic instincts; she's mine and you can't have her. Don't even look at her. I joke about this with my gf all the time. I always notice when men are staring but she never does. It doesn't bother me as I know I can trust her completely. Mayby men in general have such low self esteem that they worry their gf's will realise they're being checked out by another man and leave them for someone better. Maybe they're just possessive.
There is also that macho thing of wanting to protect their woman. If a man is looking and the bf doesn't think this guy is good enough for his girl, he won't want the man to look at her. He's not worthy enough to look. And that's why the man will always stare back, to let the stranger know "She's mine, and I see you watching!"
At least that's my idea of why we do it. Hope it may have cleared up a few thoughts for you.

Some men get jealous of another guy looking at their wives. Some men love the fact they have a woman so hot that other dudes want her. Most men are just protecting their own when they look to see other guys looking at their wives.

because they look at every woman going past them haven't you noticed that when a woman with big boobs goes past about 2 secs later he squeezes your hand and says are you all right.because they do it they think you are obsessed with looking at all the men in the world even if you don't notice the person looking at you.its a man thing best just leave them to it.

It makes some men very proud that other guyz are admiring them wives...and 4 sum it irritates them ,makes them jealousy these are usually the insecure type.Well if I had this cute babe as my wife I wud be proud 2 have other Guyz admire her......and end there 4 their own goood!!!

I wonder the same thing. My husband would point out guys who are looking at me and most of the time I don't even see them or notice them...but he did.
