I think that Simon often gives the most honest response to a contestant on X Factor but I also think that Simon's acts have the least long term chances of success in the music industry. This is because whilst Sharon and particularly Louis get stuck in to the business of getting their acts started on a career post X Factor, Simon trundles out another cheap crappy cover album that worked circa 1990 with Robson and Jerome and works no longer, and then resumes with his own preoccupation with his own media career.

Simon Cowell is very good at what he does. Everything he says is true. On the other hand, everything Louis Walsh says is crap and everything Sharon says usually revolves around how cute she thinks the contestants are. Cowell is the only one who actually has any credibility on The X Factor.

I think it is Louis Walsh who is arrogant and big-headed. Simon is nasty when he really feels strongly about someone's bad singing; Louis is just nasty for the sake of it, as if he is trying to imitate Simon Cowell.

He's just honest and the majority of people can't take honest comments- i pity them, most of the people on there are crap anyway- they'll be famous for about 3 months after they win and then you'll never hear of them again- look at hearsay, liberty x, sahne ward, steve. There just getting into the music business in a very tacky and cheap way!
I hate those sort of programs, they suck- bring back comedy and old tv- it was much better!

I think we all wait to hear Simon,s comments they are sometimes funny and hurtful but he speaks the truth and some of these acts need to hear it so they realise they are not as good as they think they are. He comes across as arrogrant but he has made it and is respected.

Yes! But most people will never have his money or success, which comes from him being good at his job. However there is never an excuse for his lack of politeness.
