I live in Fife (Scotland) and have up to £1000 to spend on a decent second-hand upright piano. I've tried the web and the results have been disappointing.

There is a Broadwood upright for sale locally for £150! But this is not Fife!

Have you tried your local papers - your area and adjacent areas - especially Edinburgh & Dundee/St Andrews? You could insert an ad in the Wanted columns.

£1000 ought to get you quite a decent instrument from a music shop, as well. Again, try the larger towns. A trip of 30 - 40 miles is worth it for that amount.

i recommend u purchase a 2d hand piano bcos that is more effective low-cost. considering that u needed that yamaha silent sequence, u might want to get it at a fee which u can arise with the money for. and if u cant get the yamaha silent sequence, u can attempt 2 get a piano which isn't very loud or a piano that has a good muffler 2d hand pianos are: a million. quite a lot pro or already pro 2. reconditioned 3. a more effective perfect high quality piano at a more cost-efficient fee

How about trying Elton John?
His playing has been getting on my nerves for years.
