Being in the US most of the Filipinos i have met are in the nursing field. I have been in healthcare since 1991. In all that time I have met, honestly, three Filipinas that i could work with, get along with and not have any conflict with.
The others have been spiteful, grudge-bearing and some of the most angry people I have ever met in my life.
A friend of mine, a nurse, was just forced to resign her job a hospital because she mentioned that our immediate supervisor ( a Filipina) was playing favorites with certain employees. Every last Filipino on our shift, even those that did not know this nurse personally turned on her and made life so difficult for her. It was like there had been some kind of command given and they all acted in unison. Just for speaking up and telling the truth.
Now that she is gone I have become the new target because the Filipinos know that i am her friend.
After15 years of exposure to the culture, I really have to say that my opinion is kinda low.
Sorry.

I also knew some in the nursing field and overseas where we worked together. Some of the patients would tell me they were "cold". I think so too. Very accurate and do everything right, but my impression is that they aren't very warm and friendly to other people from the heart. It looked different when they interacted with each other than with people of other groups.

worked with some and they lie a lot. they gossip to each other and then turn to you with a sweet smile and voice. stare a lot at people like they are on fire or an alien. have a bad habit making fun of others and laughing at them.
are treated extremeley well and superior by people around them, but they treat others like they are beneath them.

you shouldn't stereotype people, everyone is an individual. sometimes i don't even think we have the authority to label anyone as good/bad. there is a gray area and only the perfect person can sit there and judge. ~~my nationality is cape verdean, african descent

You can't stereotype any group or culture. Black or white, purple or blue, some people suck and some are great. Doesn't matter where they are. I am white.
