I think you are right on the first one, we are experiencing the 3rd and final chapter on planet Earth. I think we will go down as an experiment that went askew and was terminated for lack of control and the realization of realities of the mind and body. In other words, Homo Erectus flunked reality and was returned to the bowl es of the earth where we originated.

I actually agree with Newt Gingrich on this who said we are actually in World War IV. World War III was the Cold War - which I would say the free capitalist democratic world won and we are now in a war with Islamic-fascism (and yes I voted against Bush twice - but he is right about this). The Judeo-Christian Western Democracies and the Hindu world are currently at war with the Muslim world (not a war either of these groups have asked for - they have been forced upon the) with unfortunately the former cold warriors of communism are aligning with the fascist within the Muslim world. Not all Muslim nations - I would point first to Turkey (and possibly Indonesia and the Philippines) - are not in the fascist camp and Pakistan and Bangladesh being big question marks - but like us they have bad elements in their societies that are giving credence to these terrorist supporting states.

No, these (Iraq, North Korea) are isolated conflicts. The real World War 3 will come down in another 20-30 years between the U.S. and China. The rest of the world will simply pick sides.

World War III is not yet on because there are only isolated conflicts in the Middle East and North Korea is not that aggressive to stampm its class in Asia.

World seems to be unfit for a WW-II like war now. It is not viable nor feasible to contemplate another war of that sort. The wars may be fought with lower tones, suppressed voices and friendly duals with a good sportsman spirit. Rule by the most virtuous and genius would finally be the only most popular option in each nook and corner. Voices may take their honourable place in the times to come.

Not yet, all of europe and asia are not fully involved YET. Let North Korea get things fired up and encourage Iran to do the same, and then will have a party.
