its a term in biochemistry and I can't find any dictionaries that have this word.

see from these lines quoted allocrite as solute -"ABC transporters comprise two transmembrane domains (TMDs) that form a pathway for allocrite (i.e., solute) transport across the membrane, ..."

so ti means allocrite means a solute :8)

I got the following section from a Biochemistry paper. Hope this helps.

"We prefer to usethe term allocrite, loosely derived from the Greek meaning compounds which are transported. This avoids the misuse of the word substrate since the coupling of ATP binding and hydrolysis does not involve enzymatic modi¢cation of the transported compound by the ABC transporter"

perhaps you are misspelling the word If so than this may be the word you are referring to and if not then my apologies.
