By the way things are going I would give him a chance like Tiger has a chance to be the greatest golfer ever when he's done. It just will depends how and when he will finish his career plus they both are still relatively young.

Absolutely. Nobody that I have ever seen, going back as far as Ivan Lendl and Bjorn Borg, can do what Federer can do on the court. Where Federer stands out is that he is extremely good at every shot in the game. Whereas players like Sampras, Agassi and Edberg were very dominant at several aspects of their respective games, Federer dominates every aspect of the game. So, number of titles notwithstanding (because I know Pete has more), Federer IS the greatest to play the game.

Is Federer's return of serve better than Agassi's? Probably not. Does he volley better than Edberg? Day in, day out....no. But here's the thing: Federer is not the BEST at every shot in tennis, in a given situation, but he is EXTREMELY GOOD at every shot in tennis. In the aggregate, that makes him the best to ever lace up a pair of tennis shoes. If he never won another title, I think he has more all around game than any other player I've ever seen.

I think so.He is only 25,with 8[or is it 9 Grand Slams],which is just 6 away from Pete Sampras's record. And Nadal, his closest challenger seems only to challenge Federer on clay.I think Federer will easily top Sampras's record. And i dont think this is his best yet.

Ask this question again in 5 years. If he breaks Pete's record then i would say yes. It looks like it will happen. He is the best I have seen, but I say that about every generation of player.

i am pretty sure about that.he has already won 9 grand slams,is pretty fit and has a good 4-5 years.he is winning all the slams except the french.unless some new player emerges who poses him a challenge,or if his game suddenly collapses,i am sure hes gonna go down as the best ever.

for sure.realistically he has the chance of becoming the greatest ever.however, nobody is perfect.perhaps he will not surpass pete sampras' record of 14 grand slam titles or he can't even win the french open even if he gets more than 14 grand slam titles.so let's see.of course,i will definitely support him.
