If your meaning only half the amount of pills, then they probably were temoparly out of the full amount of pills. This has happened to me twice before. The Pharmacist then explained to me that it was temporary and to come back in a few days to get the rest of the prescription.
But if the amount of the mg. was only half the amount that was on the prescription, then their was a mistake.
Call them or take the order that you already picked up and ask them. If they only gave you 1/2 the amount of the mg. and do not make good for it, then call your doctor. Explain your situation and have your Doctor then call the pharmacy to get it straightened out.

they may not have had enough and owe you some. if that's the case they might have forgot to tell you to come back and pick up the rest of the im a couple days. go back to the pharmacy and sort it out there, dont call your doctor yet until youve double checked with the pharmacy to make sure they gave you the correct number of pills and the correct strength, they may be able to fix it for you right then and there without bringing your doc into it.

most of them do that, so stock does not go out of date. as long as it is noted, and they give you the remainder. some do it in the hope you wont need the remainder(which you should not do and take full course prescribed).........and they can get paid for dispensing the full amount. Cynical of me, but true. It is a business after all!!
Other than that change pharmacists. However normally you will find that in an area they all do the same thing!!

Talk to your doctor and tell him to prescribe exact double doses so the pharmacist will give you the correct dose next time !!
Why don't you go to other shops?

As long as it's noted and he refills it later there nothing wrong with it. He probably doesn't have the full amount. If he doesn't honor it report the misuse to your doctor or Medicare/medicaid
