I never paid the bill because their service is rubish. They disconnected the phone (switiching on with TalkTalk in November). They took away my @btinernet.com email address, but the actual broadband service is fine. I'm using it now.

All I get on the phone is 3 tones and no-one can call us.

J H - Shut up you whinning muppet. Like you never downloaded an MP3? Is you copy of Windows a genuine copy? Have you ever driven faster than the speed limit?

Your holier-than-thou attitude sickens me. Is it really theft? I don't see any police men knocking at my door. Oh wait - special branch are here.....there is a helicopter above my house.....they have firearms and are going to send me to Guantanamo Bay unless I disconnect.

All the people around here have been giving me funny looks and I always wondered why.....now I know.....

I have used BT for more years than I dare say and have never had a problem with the service.

If the broadband service is rubbish why are you still using it and not PAYING for a better one? It is called THEFT, and is a ILLEGAL. You should be apologising to all of us who are funding you out of our own pockets - not bragging.

Please go away and BUY a service that is "better".

UPDATE

No no free MP3s, no dodgy programmes, no dodgy DVDs and I drive with one eye on the speedometer which I know is dangerous but I don't want to get points on my licence.

I am a nurse who works with convicted offenders and remanded people every day and listens daily to the tales of the slippery slope.

As a Shareholder I do object to you stealing my service you Toad...

As a fellow citizen I object to people freeloading off something that I pay for.

UPDATE

My apologies for getting out of the wrong side of the bed and being a grumpy old so and so!

You will soon lose your connection, the disconnection paper has not arrived on the right desk yet, but if you think BT was bad you really are going to have fun with TalkTalk (sarcastic tone)

Just don't go to TalkTalk, you will be lucky if your broadband will be live once a week. Completely useless

Don't you need a BT line to go on talk talk. Most isp's seem to. Apart from being more expensive I have never had a problem with BT
