Physical injuries could be filed by a wife against the husband as long as evidence are strong to convict the offender.

Unless he abused you, any pain and suffering due to the pregnancy cannot be blamed on another party, it's just a part of nature. And as they say, it takes two to tango, so you can't blame one and not the other. And unless you have the "promise" in writing, then that won't hold either. There's no point in sueing over spilt milk. Accept the inevitable. Try to appeal to his better nature, he may be willing to help if he understands the issue fully. Or as a single parent you may be entitled to a pension to help you out.
I really don't see the point in getting the law involved. This sueing business is ruining people's lives. If people can learn to accept responsibility instead of trying to make a quick buck, then life would be so much easier for everyone. The way the legal system is structured is pathetic. You know you can be sued if you hurt someone while defending yourself? Even if they're trying to kill you? Stupid. Anyway, way off track. Just try to deal with your ex first, and see what you an come up with. You can always get the advice of a lawyer.

Thats like suing someone for giving you an STD. You made the decision to be with him and get pregnant. Unless he somehow screwed up your pregnancy on purpose some how, it seems rediculous to be able to sue him over it.
