I have a 3 year old already and although she keeps me reasonably occupied i wake up and i cant bear to clean up AGAIN i am so bored i think im getting depressed. It doesnt help that im in the process of stopping smoking. Any tips to take my mind off of things

well there r lots of things u can do
try to have a good time with ur 3 year old
teach him/her somethings that would benefit u both
talk to him about the baby
so that he would be prepared
and that would keep him from being jealous
when the baby is born

try to do some things for the baby along with ur 3 year old like some drawings to hang in the room .....
or teach ur 3 year old some soft songs for babies
so he/she would feel closer to hi baby bro/sis
and just try to invent things to do like decorations for the baby's room or bed
......have a walk everyday with ur 3 kid if u can..just try it..
walking is v.good especially the last months of pregnancy...

try to read some book that would help u deal with this problem
and about cleaning
i'll give u a trick
tell ur 3 year old like lets play on cleaning the house
then tell him like lets play on keeping the house clean all the day
that may work
;)
........
these were my advises
and they came from the heart
may u pass it good
and tell u what
ur employer doesnt have the right to say that

Hello there! Yes I know how you feel...It took me aboout 2 yrs. to accept that I'm a stay at home mom and have to do chores daily. Ugghh! It's not my style you know. I'll tell you how I got to the point to accept it and even enjoy being home now.
Well my husband and I are Christians, and we have Bible Study every Wed. evening. Everyone was praying for me for a long time to get a job. Every interview I went to, the door would close. I started getting depressed. I cried out to the Lord, "What is happening" "Please, provide a decent job for me" Nope nothing.
So bottom line is, God for now wants me to stay home and enjoy it. So I am. I was also crying out to quit smoking. Another big challenge. I was so hooked on that filthy habit. Finally after 20 yrs. of smoking, I get delivered by it. Jesus took it away. I went to a pastor that has the gift of deliverence and healing and he prayed over me...Next thing I know, the Lord had taken the desire away from me. I haven't touched a cigarette since. And the best part is that I'm not suffering from it.
There's a site here that the pastor also does deliverence...it is www.doersoftheword.org
You can send in your prayer request or even call for free and for prayer. You start feeling worthy of yourself and happy to be home.
Think positive and how you get to plant all kinds of good seeds in your kids. (something no stranger can do)
Oh also get "Power of a Praying Woman" by Stormie Omartian. It helped me lots. Prayer is very powerful! I saw lots of changes for the good. My depression lifted up slowly and surely!

I pray God directs you so you can be happy also.

write a list of all the things you'd like to do. Maybe list of films you would like to see or are there places you'd like to take your 3 year old. There are loads of courses you can do online now like language courses. If you're an arty crafty sort then you could buy something like a paint by numbers set that u and the wee one could do together? I'm a stay at home mum and although most of the time i love it sometimes i feel my head will explode thru boredom.

I'm bored too (about 12 weeks) but for me, I don't feel up to doing anything and I find myself on the couch, bored out of my mind. If I start something, I rarely finish or I'm a big, tired grump.

I need the advice you're getting. i try reading fiction, watching movies and doing laundry, dishes in shifts (one thing at a time). sometimes I go out to the store for one item just to get myself out.

good luck!

get out of the house once a day, take your little one to the park go swimming, any type of gentle exercise to keep your mind and body healthy, take up a hobby something tou have always wanted to do. in no time you will have enough to do with your new baby and your 3 year old best of luck

My mom bought me a HUGE puzzle book that kept me entertained right throughout my pregnancy- I had to quit work at 10 weeks pregnant because I kept passing out and I couldn't stomach the journey there either...so I decided to leave.
If you feel up to it, go out for walks to a park with your three year old, go to travel agents and look at nice exptic places that you could fantasise about visiting...I dunno, now my ideas are getting silly!
Are there any playgroups that you could take your little one to, just to get you out of the house?

Have a chat with your doctor about how you are feeling, he may be able to help with the nicotine withdrawal as well.

I hope that you feel better soon!

Congratulations on your pregnancy :-)

You should have sued your boss for discrimination against a pregnant woman you are entitled to maternity leave for a year and your job should still be waiting for you when you return back to work.
