Long hair was always a feminine sign through the history. Also, grooming the hair and face was always more a female domain to make themselves prettier and more attractive to men. That might be the reason. However, this is not such an important aspect now when short cuts are in fashion.

I think there are many reasons for growing long hair. I have short hair when i met my bf. I'm trying to grow my hair long for my wedding so that there are more ways to style it better. I wil definitely cut my hair after the wedding so I don';t think that girls grow long hair to attract men.

I like men with long hair but I don't see the point of cutting mine. It suits me and it is just a foolish social belief saying that men should have short hair and women long. I would like seeing both having long hair simply because it is natural.

it's really a matter of preference and taste. And probably there are girls that don't suit short hair. Of course, there are guys who also like the sporty-type girls with short hair. In japan, it's also increasingly popular for girls to have short, punked up hairdos. So there are actually alot of sociological factors which attribute to why girls choose short/long hair.

Majority grow it 'cos they follow the ideology that long hair is sexy. Some grow long hair because they just want to.

well i grow mine long because it looks better with the shape of my face. and lets be honest r there really that many girls that can pull off short hair and still look good.

I have my hair long because I like it long. I wouldn't be normal if I had short hair, plus I would simply HATE it short.

because girls with long hair WILL attract more men than short hair. for example. when i see a girl with short hair i think "why does that broad think she looks better with short hair. how unattractive" and then i go out and try to find a girl with long brown hair.. trust me it looks sexier, long shining hair
