I have some jpeg photos whihc are about 2000kb each. How can I make them smaller to send to people - sometimes they are only about 100kb? Don't have much IT ability! Thanks

if u select the ones you want to send

right click

then go to send to > mail recipient

windows will ask you if ou want to resize them and it will do it automatically for you and won't overwrite the original

I use Microsoft Photo Editor which came with the computer.
Open the photo, click on Image at the top and then click resize, and change it to 50% or 25% etc until you find the best size.
If you don't like the first try, undo the change before trying another size otherwise it might affect the look of the image.
You can see how big it is by clicking File and then Properties.
When you save it call it "b" so you still have the original for printing off etc.

Hi Charlie,

open any one of the photo in Microsoft picture Manager

1. Select all photos in it
2. Click Edit
3. Select Compress option
4. Select the required size limit...

as simple as that.....

You can crop them or resize them. Either will make the photo smaller and almost all photo software allows you to do this.

there is also a free microsoft powertoy called image resizer; once installed, you will have a new right click option to resize an image in your explorer context menu

Charlie use Adobe Photoshop to reduce the size.

try opening with paint, making them smaller and saving them as bmp.
