Hi there,

I used masking tape around my windows when i was painting (so no paint would get on the glass).

I left the tape on during the summer and now i cant get the tape off the window glass. When i try and pull it off most of it remains on there and is stuck solid. I have tried white spirit and lighter fuel and hot water but nothing will make it budge! any ideas?

I would spray it with wd-40 or an amazing cleaner called Goo Gone, let it soak for about 15 mins and then scrape off with a razor blade. OR, run a hair dryer over it for a few minutes and then scrape it.

Good luck!! I hate sticky stuff!!

Try Antibacterial hand gel and single edge razor blade. The gel will soften the adhesive and is much easier to clean off your windows than WD-40. Works for me!

hi, had the same problem and used the hot water trick which worked after quite a long time of scraping , a better and much easier way is to buy a bottle of wallpaper remover, dab it on and leave for 15mins and off it comes.

Use a single edge razor. At a hardware store ask for a
holder that takes a single edge razor insert.

Acetone. AKA nail polish remover. Be careful handling it. Wear disposable gloves and use a strong cloth. Dispose of all when done.
