I did grow up in an abusive household. I am not now, and never will be, in an abusive relationship.

I grew up in a mentally abusive family. We also got harsh beatings at times. My dad hit my mom about 2 or 3 times while I was growing up.
I was in a mentally abusive and some physically abusive marriage. I got away in 2003.....
Now I am enjoying my life.... my freedom.... I can't stand to be around yelling an fighting.... I am a very laid back person.... hard to believe......

have been - best thing i ever did was get outta it , easier said than done, but u eventually do get over it and past it. and i look at where i am now and how far ive come and i am very proud of myself . Everything in life good and bad is experience

I'm not but my best friend is, is terrible!!! very hard to get out of it... I'm just about to scare the guy off her.... i surfer for her.... he is aggressive...
Solution: go to the police, they will help you....
happened to another friend, they send her to therapy and shelter.
