There's a buzzing noise when I turn my speakers on, low vol. what is the problem?

Sounds like your sound card needs connection to the motherboard properly. It might little loose or contact might needs cleaning.

plug in to another sound source discman or mp3 or your cd-rom if it has audio out jack, to check whether the problem is the speaker (with built-in amplifier?) or the sound card or mobo? to check if it's software problems, try playing different sound format wav mp3 midi etc.
