Installing VS.net 2005 on Tosiba Core Duo Laptop?

acctually I would like to know if the 2 G Centerino laptop is better or 1.6 G Core Duo ,also I would like to know which of them is better to install vs.net 2005 on it. ( any problems between core duo tech. ant vs.net 2005 )

Hi,

Of course the 2GHz laptop will perform better than the 1.6GHz laptop. I presume you mean for Visual Studio.net 2005 in terms of benchmarking? I can't find any benchmarks I'm afraid.

With regard to your question about installing Visual Studio.net 2005 on a core duo laptop, as you can see from the page below (search it for the first reference to ".net") the core duo processor is fully compatible with Visual Studio.net 2005. Here's what it says:

It also integrates with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, Visual Studio .NET* 2002/2003, and Visual Studio 98, and it provides expanded 32-bit and 64-bit multi-core Intel processor support.
