I need to find out how many oxygen sensors a chevrolet lumina, 1995 have and where are they found. Would I need to disconnect the catalytic converter to get to it?
Also, can the car be run without the oxygen sensors. What would happen?
Thanks

The first sensor is before the catalytic converter and the second one is after the converter. The first measures the fuel mixture for the computer and the second tells the computer how well the converter is operating. Both are necessary for fuel mixture to be correct. Hope this helps.

Two usually in the exhaust manifold and after the catalytic converter. No you don't have to disconnect the converter. If you run with out sensors car will run rough, will die,and cause other sensors to go bad.

The 1998 3.one million liter is going to be SFI, and might have 3 (3) oxygen sensors. One sensor in the two manifolds (financial corporation one million sensor one million, and financial corporation 2 sensor one million) and one (one million) oxygen sensor perfect after the converter (financial corporation one million sensor 2). wazzthc became appropriate.
