Rotary Youth Exchange!!

As an exchanger myself, I have to vouch for high school youth exchange. Absolutely awesome. Yes, it can be tough, it will be tough, but in the end, SOO worth it.

If you're in high school, and there is a local/regional rotary club, apply NOW. You're a bit late, but deadlines vary by district. check out www.cultures-shocked.net (unfortunately down due to bandwidth issues momentarily, it will be back up nov 1)

If you're older, look at a college study abroad problem, or look into language institutes, many of which allow you to stay with a host family.
