ok , i see the main psychological problem. you are eating out of frustration, worry and loneliness. my best suggestion is to go to base psychologist for some basic help first., second volunteer to do or help with anything that will contribute to your husbands unit as far as supportive means, like care packages etc., keep busy , get your mind off of the negative and focus on the positive, as well as a healthy diet, no snacks and lots of exercise ( i suggest swimming or even just walking around in the pool for about 45 min per day (in the water not around the pool), and before you know it you will be trim and firm and he will be home in your arms and even more excited because he will come home to a new woman, how sexy can that be., think about it , talk to family and friends and doctors, clergy, whoever helps or is the most helpful and supportive. you can do it , we all beliewve in you even if you don't believe in yourself.

Well first let me say that I do understand where you are coming from. I am x-Army and my husband is in Baghdad as we speak on his 2nd deployment. He has been gone almost 12 months now...only 2 more weeks to go though.

Anyways as for the weight. This is actually SO common. Do get down on yourself for this. You just need to take action now before its too late. The more weight you gain he harder it is to get off. Start an exercise routine and start eating healthy. You should be able to shed 10-20 pounds in 5 weeks if you start immediately and take it seriously!

GOOD LUCK!

Are you a member of your base gym? Go to the gym and get them to set you up a training schedule designed for your fitness level. Talk to your doctor about your sleep. Bad sleep throws EVERYTHING off and you want to be rested when hubby comes back. Hubby will just be glad to see you, trust me. If you try and crash diet now with only five weeks left you will get sick and stressed and you need to be well as the reintegration as you well know is stressful for the family. Be kind to yourself. Get the sleep straightened out with the doctor and get a light exercise routine from the base gym, and eat healthy foods, nothing processed. If you have the indoor track at the gym you can take the kids with you and just walk...if no indoor track then you can walk at your nearest mall, they have walking clubs that start 1 hour before the stores open...also can take kids.

I'm sure after all the stuff he has seen in Iraq, weight would seem like such a trivial thing.. and I don't think he would care or even notice that you have put any..

Have you had your C4 (I think that is what it is) blood sugar checked? It sounds to me like your are either diabetic, pre-diabetic or have PCOS.
